arc Shopping Centre Christmas Lights

Christmas celebrations begin in Bury St Edmunds on Thursday 19th November, with the town centre’s annual Christmas Lights Event taking place from 3pm–8pm.

To celebrate, arc Shopping Centre will host an afternoon of festive entertainment, with illuminated walkabout performers, glowing face painting and activities for families to enjoy from 3pm to 7pm.

Look out for LED stilt-walking Snow Angels, a magical Glow Bubble Fairy creating UV bubbles and an LED Christmas hoop performer, with performances taking place throughout the centre, including Auction Street and Gosnold Street.

Children can also enjoy UV face painting from 3pm–7pm, with designs that glow under ultraviolet light, available for a minimum donation of £2 per child.

There will also be a My WiSH Charity tombola, giving visitors another way to join the festivities while supporting a local cause.

Make an afternoon of it with some Christmas shopping, a bite to eat and festive entertainment at arc.

Christmas Lights Event

Alongside the entertainment at arc, Our Bury St Edmunds BID will be hosting the wider town centre celebrations, at the Christmas Lights Event, sponsored by Costa Coffee Bury St Edmunds, including the  Snow Lion with the Red Queen, magical Polar Bear, a chance to meet Santa and his elves with Bury St Edmunds Round Table and The Snow Queen and Friends, while the stage will host performances throughout the afternoon and evening from local groups, choirs, schools and colleges. The Cornhill and Buttermarket will be filled with charity and gifts stalls. Visitors can also enjoy a range of fairground rides.
