Swords of Penda, a small historical re-enactment group, bring this fascinating era to life. Experience the daily lives, battles, and traditions of our ancestors, and get a real taste of a world long forgotten.

Parking fee - £3 all day
Much of the site is outdoors, please dress accordingly
No Dogs permitted in the village (Assistance dogs only)
Children age 14 & under must be accompanied by an adult over 18
No food or drinks permitted in the Saxon Village or Museum (except water)

Tickets: Adult £7.50, Child £4.50 (under 5's free). Other concessions £6.50. Family ticket £23.

About the Venue
One of England's great archaeological sites, West Stow has extensive indoor galleries and a stunning recreation of an Anglo-Saxon village surrounded by unspoilt countryside.
West Stow Country Park features 125 acres of woods, heathlands, a river and a lake, plus nature trails, walks and an adventure playground.
Visitors to West Stow can explore history and nature, watch a film, dress up as an Anglo-Saxon or say hello to the rare breed pigs and chickens.
As part of the annual RingQuest event, you could even meet a Hobbit, among other Lord of the Rings characters!
