Mount Farm Vineyards

Nestled within 30 acres of picturesque countryside near Sudbury in the heart of the East Anglian Stour Valley, Mount Farm Vineyard is a family-run vineyard producing award-worthy English wines and unique vineyard dining experiences.

Established in 2019, the vineyard has grown to more than 20,000 vines across six hectares, thriving in the region's sunny summers, cooling Atlantic breezes and fertile clay-loam soils. Mount Farm cultivates a range of grape varieties, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Bacchus, Gamay and Pinot Meunier, producing premium still wines under the ARK Wines label that showcase the quality and potential of English viticulture.

The vineyard is the passion project of Hans and Kristin Engström and their daughter Amanda, who transformed a former farm into a thriving vineyard after relocating from Sweden. With Amanda studying Wine Production at Plumpton College, the family has combined innovation, dedication and a love of the land to create one of Suffolk's emerging wine destinations.

Outdoor Dining Experience

Alongside its wines, Mount Farm is home to Jord Projects, an outdoor dining experience that brings together exceptional food, English wine and the beauty of the Suffolk countryside. Running throughout the summer, Jord Projects invites guests to gather among the vines for seasonal, open-fire dining paired with ARK Wines.

Friday evenings feature Fire Dining, where resident chefs Hans Engström and Rowen Halstead prepare sharing-style feasts over open flames using locally sourced ingredients. Selected Saturdays welcome acclaimed guest chefs from across the UK and Europe, while Sundays offer relaxed Vineyard Lunches, celebrating long-table dining with family and friends in a stunning vineyard setting.

Designed to celebrate Suffolk's produce, landscape and growing food scene, Jord Projects offers a memorable experience for both locals and visitors looking to enjoy great food, award-winning English wine and the relaxed atmosphere of vineyard life.
