Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival
Join Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival each autumn to celebrate books and writing in the heart of East Anglia, here in Bury St Edmunds.
Establishing itself as a beacon cultural event in the local cultural calendar, for four days each October, the Festival presents a diverse programme of author interviews, storytelling, poetry open-mics and non-fiction talks for readers of all ages. With a programme of creative writing workshops and annual competition and for established, emerging and aspiring writers.
Their mission is to inspire and connect readers and writers of Bury St Edmunds and its hinterland by giving opportunities to engage with reading and writing in exciting and accessible ways. The Festival is run by a small team of passionate people, supported by their Patrons, Honorary Patrons and overseen by a Board of Trustees.
Below are a selection of the many events planned for this year's festival. Please visit the Bury St Edmunds Literature Festival website for the full programme of events at venues across the town centre.
