The Spire Rooms
A unique town centre venue offering three spaces for hire

About this Business
The Spire Rooms is a unique town centre venue offering three spaces for hire - two large halls and a cosy meeting room. Tucked near the bottom of St John's Street with it's independent shops, and next to the church, we're a peaceful spot for all sorts of activities and services, many of which support wellbeing.
The building is a beautifully restored former Victorian infant school, full of character. Naturally light and airy, the building has retained many period features such as original doors & windows and exposed brickwork, which are complemented by contemporary colours and lighting, as well as an enclosed garden. The halls have wooden floors, and the meeting room is carpeted. We are suitable for a wide range of purposes and offer favourable rates for small charities and community services & activities.
Our aim is that The Spire Rooms is accessible to all and has been designed to be wheelchair friendly with a level access WC and wide doorways. We have a hearing loop and baby changing facilities. The Spire Rooms also houses our affordable vegetarian café - the Old School Cafe.
We are five minutes’ walk of bus and railway stations and long stay car parking.
