The Weeping Willow Pub
About this Business
This listed Suffolk Pub is one of the oldest buildings in Barrow and dates from the early sixteenth century. The Weeping Willow Pub been lovingly restored and expanded to create Suffolk’s first modern country pub.
The Bar is traditional with lots of oak beams, comfy nooks and open fires with a good assortment of cask ales, larger and craft beers. There is a cocktail menu and an extensive collection of Gin as well as an impressive wine list.
The dining room is a modern architectural open plan extension which has been added to the original pub. On one side it has a view into the stunning state of the art kitchen. On the other side it overlooks a beautiful garden and meadow and the Weeping Willow Tree.
There is something for everyone on the menu and we try to source locally from East Anglia. At lunch there is a great popular Bar Menu and a seasonal daily menu. In the evening the menu is more a la carte seasonal British fare with some favourites such as Steaks and Burgers.
The menu has several vegetarian options and the kitchen is happy to adapt meals to suit any dietary requirements or allergens. On sunny days there are lots of external tables for alfresco drinking and eating and a beautiful peaceful garden to admire. The Pub is set in over an acre of meadow land and there is a small children’s play area for little ones to let of steam. The Weeping Willow has an informal relaxed feel and is child and dog friendly with a children’s menu.
The interior is stunning with beautiful art works by local artists, bright comfy furnishings, seasonal flowers and a warm welcome. There is a popular semi- private dining room that seats 12 and we can accommodate large groups in the main dining room. Why not take a tour.
Dog Friendly.
