About this event
Danny McNamara is the founder and lead singer of one of the most iconic bands of the last 20 years, Embrace.
Having sold more than two million albums to date, their debut album, 'The Good Will Out', was released in 1998 and became one of the fastest-selling debut albums by a British artist. It was certified gold on the day of its release and went on to sell over half a million copies. The band has also had three number one albums and six top 10 singles.
Now Embrace are celebrating their 30th anniversary and Danny will tour the UK for a special evening of tales about one of Britain’s best-loved bands. With a new book published about the band’s early years, he’ll be telling stories, answering questions, and signing copies of Embrace’s new book.
A limited number of Meet and Greet tickets are available. These include a pre-show meet and greet with Danny including photo and autograph opportunities, the best seats and a goody bag. Further information will be sent to bookers nearer the time. Premium tickets include the next best seats and a goody bag.
Danny may come out after the show but this won’t be confirmed until the day of the show.
Starts: 7.30pm
Tickets: Meet and Greet £77, Premium £47, Standard £30
About the Venue
The Apex is an award-winning venue, known for its acoustic excellence and home to a diverse programme of live music and events; from classical concerts to pop, rock, jazz, blues, world, country and folk, plus comedy and dance performances.
It also hosts a number of community and corporate events, offering the local community and wider environs a unique and exciting space from which visitors can see a great selection of artists, bands and events.
It has been very well publicised (and we never tire of hearing it!) that, as well as its architectural beauty, The Apex also has the very best acoustics, with many musicians who've played here describing it as the best acoustic in the UK, if not Europe:
"Best new venue in the UK. Absolutely superb" - Funeral For A Friend
"Best acoustic wee had in 40 years of touring" - Fairport Convention
"The best hall we have ever played in" - The Escher String Quartet
