No.4 Restaurant & Bar – passionate about food and drink
This charming and stylish restaurant & bar located in Hatter Street in the historic sector of town is the perfect venue for coffee and a chat, afternoon tea with home-made cakes, a relaxing glass of wine or a sit-down meal, available day and evening.
No.4’s menu is created by the restaurant’s Red Seal certified Canadian chef, Alex Rotherham who specialises in Canadian West Coast cuisine blending foods from around the world yet using local produce when possible.
The restaurant’s Create-Your-Own Burgers are arguably the best in town and other delicious creations include Chicken Chasseur, Teriyaki Rice Bowl, Tex Mex Loaded Fries and Chef's Philadelphia Cheesesteak Sandwich and his special Grilled NY Steak.
There’s a great themed cocktail menu available and our authentic thick malted milkshakes are a No.4 speciality with a take-away option too (a gluten-free version is available on request). There’s also an extensive drinks selection of fine wines and local beer to complement any meal of which there are gluten-free choices too.
Children are also catered for with smaller portions of the same high-quality choices from the main menu and a No.4 Classic Afternoon Tea (by pre-order) is a lavish and decadent spread.
This beautiful café/restaurant has a wonderful upstairs dining area which can be used for private hire - perfect for private parties, business meetings and other events.
Although part of Abbeygate Cinema, you don’t have to see a film to enjoy the great menu and ambience of No.4 but if you do come to see a film, you will be able to choose from our extensive cinema snack menu and enjoy a drink from our licensed bar while watching the film.
