The popular monthly Festive Makers Markets will be returning to Bury St Edmunds the Christmas.
The festive markets will take place in November and December, allowing shoppers across the district to get into the joyful spirit and find the perfect gifts for loved ones!
The makers markets will feature a number of talented local vendors showcasing a diverse array of handmade goods, including jewellery, homeware, ceramics, textiles, art prints and more.
The makers markets will take place on:
• Sunday 3 November from 10am to 3pm
• Sunday 1 December at 10am to 3pm
The markets will see some familiar faces from the regular markets across West Suffolk, as well as some newer stalls, ensuring fan favourites as well as exciting fresh stalls are there.
About the Venue
There is a vibrant and bustling market in Bury St Edmunds on Wednesdays and Saturdays that attracts thousands of people every week.
With more than 70 regular stalls on Saturdays and 40 on Wednesdays, Bury St Edmunds Market has an excellent food offer including fruit and vegetables, meat, and fish stalls with fresh locally sourced seasonal produce.
Not only is there a wonderful array of foods you can also find everything from authentic Italian shirts, Portuguese pottery, vintage clothes and colourful plants and flowers.
Foodies will also love the market with its wonderful selection of food and drink from around the world.
Not only is Bury St Edmunds one of the most successful traditional street markets in the country today, it also has one of the longest and most colourful histories.
The market, held in the Buttermarket and Cornhill, dates back to before the days of William the Conqueror.
The town is at its busiest on market days with coaches from all over East Anglia arriving particularly during the summer months.
