Discover more about beautiful and historic Lavenham on a guided walking tour with Discover Lavenham. Hosted by friendly and entertaining Blue and Green Badge guides, you’ll weave around the medieval streets of Lavenham and learn the tales of how this beautiful village has changed through the ages.
Your registered tour guide will reveal the hidden stories of Lavenham, you’ll take a peek at former clothiers’ houses and learn all about how these rich merchants and their employees lived and worked in the 15th Century.
This is a tale of blue wool, enormous wealth and economic collapse, interwoven with famous artists, nursery rhymes, blockbuster films and even a famous boy wizard.
Tours depart from the foyer of The Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa on Wednesdays at 2pm throughout the year.
From April to October, additional walks are held on Saturdays and Sundays at 11am
Each tour lasts about one and a half hours and costs just £7.50 per person.
