Discover more about beautiful and historic Lavenham on a guided walking tour with Discover Lavenham. Hosted by friendly and entertaining Blue and Green Badge guides, you’ll weave around the medieval streets of Lavenham and learn the tales of how this beautiful village has changed through the ages.
Your registered tour guide will reveal the hidden stories of Lavenham, you’ll take a peek at former clothiers’ houses and learn all about how these rich merchants and their employees lived and worked in the 15th Century.
This is a tale of blue wool, enormous wealth and economic collapse, interwoven with famous artists, nursery rhymes, blockbuster films and even a famous boy wizard.
Tours depart from the foyer of The Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa at 2pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays and on Sundays and bank holidays at 11am.
The tours season starts on Easter Saturday and ends at the end of October.
Each tour lasts about 90 minutes and costs just £5 per person.
