Marilyn Monroe: Fact & Fiction
Who was the real Norma Jean, really?

About this event
She was perhaps the most photographed woman of the twentieth century - and perhaps the most misunderstood. Marilyn Monroe has inspired countless novels, biographies and films, but the real woman behind the myth remains elusive, contradictory and endlessly compelling.
Two authors - one writing from a fictional perspective, one from a biographical - bring their very different takes on Marilyn's dazzling and tragic life to this richly illuminating conversation.
Moderated by author Andrew Hook - whose work has also used Marylin’s life as inspiration, Julie Owen Moylan and Andrew Wilson ask: who was the real Norma Jean, really? And why does the dazzling life of Marylin Monroe still capture our imagination?
See The Prince and The Showgirl after this event at Abbeygate Cinema.
