Degrees Of Error return to Theatre Royal with Murder, She Didn’t Write: The Improvised Murder-Mystery.
In Degrees of Error’s hilarious and innovative ‘Murder, She Didn’t Write’, you, the audience, become the author and are invited to help to create your very own Agatha Christie-inspired masterpiece – and to watch it unfold on stage before your very eyes.
Degrees Of Error are a theatre company based in Bristol, focused on producing original comedic and dramatic improvised works. They are a resident troupe at The Bristol Improv Theatre, the first theatre in the UK dedicated to the art of improv, where they rehearse and perform regularly. They have also enjoyed sell-out runs of Murder at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe from 2013 – 2023. Founded in 2010, and selling out the Edinburgh Fringe since 2013, they’re here to give you a never seen before (and never-to-be-seen-again) evening of murder, mayhem and making it up.
So, don your deerstalkers, pick up a magnifying glass and get your ‘fingers of suspicion’ at the ready. You decide where, you decide when, you decide who and one lucky audience member will decide who dunnit! That’s right, every evening this extraordinarily talented company will create an original and extremely comical improvised murder mystery based entirely on audience suggestions. Mr Crimson poisoned in the parlour? Ms Gold exploded by cannon in Sainsbury’s? You decide! But will you work out the killer in time?

Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds was designed and built in 1819 by William Wilkins. With many of its original features still intact, it is a superb example of a Regency playhouse and one of the most beautiful, intimate and historic theatres in the world.
