About this event
With Bridgerton back on our screens and ball scenes gracing us with pop songs turned classical, it seems only timely that The Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa has announced their next live music and dinner event as a Classical Crossover evening with vocal artist, Gemma Edwards.
The event, which is on Thursday 3rd October, will see Gemma Edwards perform classics such as ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Time to say goodbye’ throughout the evening entertaining guests as they enjoy a four-course meal with a complimentary glass of champagne.
Now recognised as a genre in its own right, Classical Crossover blends traditional classical elements such as operatic vocals, with popular music styles to create a new sound.
One of the UK’s most sought after singers, Gemma's contribution to the field of music and crossover singing over the past 15 years is nothing short of phenomenal. Amongst her many performances, she has sung the UK’s National Anthem at Wembley Stadium on several occasions and also appeared on BBC1's ‘The Voice UK’ where she sang ‘Habanera’ from the opera Carmen.
Created by the Head Chef and is culinary team just for this one evening, the special four-course dinner will be served in the elegant Gallery restaurant at 7.30pm.
Tickets for the evening, which starts promptly at 7pm, are priced at £80 per person, or upgrade the experience with the addition of a wine flight for £25. To reserve a table please email functions@theswanatlavenham.co.uk or call the events team on 01787 247477. As it’s a set menu, any special dietary requirements should be advised when booking.
Make a night of it with The Swan’s special Classical Crossover B&B package from £278 per room for two sharing to include two tickets to the dinner (excluding drinks other than the glass of Champagne) and full breakfast the following morning. Overnight guests also have a complimentary two-hour session with use of the heat and relaxation suites in Weavers’ House Spa.
