Well strut right up because “NOW! That’s What I Call…DRAG!” is BACK and they are bringing you for one night only..."Night of the Living DRAG!" - a whole spooktacular night dedicated to the fabulous Halloween season at The Hunter Club Arts Centre in Bury St Edmunds!
Get into the spooky season with a KILLER lineup and a fabulous slice of British drag cabaret with drop dead GORGEOUS acts, nightmarishly good performances and our annual Halloween Runway! Many people can identify with exploring their fabulous selves through Halloween and we'll be giving you the tricks AND treats just for the occasion! Expect homages to Rocky Horror, Hocus Pocus and horror classics as we give you all the glamour, camp and the chaotic with a night packed with electrifying performances from East Anglia's finest drag collective!
Hosted by British drag icons Knuckle Sandwich & Will Power, (plus special guests TBA!) you'll be in for the most fabulous Halloween event of the year! So put on those fangs, get those costumes at the ready and let's get ready for the drag mixtape to begin! Trust us, you won't want it to end!
This is a seated event! There are a limited number of tables available - a small number can be reserved at the discretion of the event organisers ONLY (please do not contact the venue regarding this as they cannot reserve tables for this event), and a limited number will be available first come first served on the night!
Doors at 7pm! Show at 7.45pm(ish)! There are 2 intervals throughout the night and the bar will be open during the show!
Halloween costumes and looks are strictly ENCOURAGED! Prizes are up for grabs in theirHalloween Runway EXTRAVAGANZA!
About the Venue
The Hunter Club Arts Centre is an independent Bar and Venue situated in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. Supporting a wide range of local grassroot bands, musicians and promoters, as well as accommodating more well-known musicians, comedy nights, Jazz evenings, Theatre, Open Mics, Pub Quizzes, Fundraisers, Festivals and more.
Open to all members of the public, the bar is home to many bespoke cocktails and shots that you will not find anywhere else in the town alongside many popular classics. The bar also has a wide range of spirits, draught products and wine for you to choose from to enjoy in the eclectic lounging area.
The Hunter Club Arts Centre kitchen uses fresh ingredients, and everything is handmade. Catering for all tastes, most of the menu can be made vegan or dairy free. Authentic stone baked pizza is a staple on the menu, with ever changing dishes being added to keep things interesting.
The Hunter Club Arts Centre supports local creative performers and artists and provides a fully equipped venue for independent music promoters. In addition to gigs, comedy nights, and community events, the Hunter Club provides facilities for numerous youth and community projects and events including Bury Fringe Festival, BurySOUND Band Competition, West Suffolk College, Noise Solution, the Bury Singer Songwriters Competition, Bury St Edmunds Film Society, and many others. The Hunter Club provides a free space for community groups, and works closely with local organizations in their fundraising efforts.
