About this event

Past to Present Archaeology have an archaeological site in Hawstead, 15 minutes from Bury St Edmunds.

We are running a project called Prehistoric Suffolk.

It is a summer field school/community project, welcoming members of the public, (16 and under will need an adult with them) and archaeology students.

We are running for 6 weeks commencing Monday 22nd of July and ending on Friday 26th of August.

We are priced at £100 for a day experience, £180 for a weekend, £450 for a week £350 for students with a student email. A weekend experience is priced at . If multiple weeks are booked the weekend is free.

On site facilities and camping are an additional £25 a week.

Participants learn and experience all aspects of archaeological training from excavation and recording to post-excavation and finds processing. Additional social evening activities, lectures and finds handling are included. Lunches and snacks and drinks are provided throughout the day.
