Barry Ferns
Stand Up Comedian, Writer, Director, and Trained Physiotherapist, Barry Ferns has written for the BBC, C4, Radio and has won awards for both Stand Up and directing Short films. His films have been selected for The LA Comedy Film festival, Raindance, North by Northwest and he has won the Malcom Hardee Award for Comedy, as well as the Mervyn Stutter Spirit of the Fringe award and has been nominated as one of the 4 best MC’s in the entire country.

Hasan Al-Habib
Hasan Al-Habib is an award-winning stand-up comedian, writer & actor. Hasan performed at the Midlands regional heats of the BBC New Comedy Awards 2024, won the 2023 Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award and was a finalist at the 2022 Chortle Student Comedy Awards. After selling out his double act show ‘2 Muslim 2 Furious’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024, Hasan will be making his solo debut in 2025 with ‘Death To The West (Midlands)’ – a love letter to his Iraqi heritage and upbringing in Birmingham. DTWM has already received its first nomination for Best Debut at the 2025 Leicester Comedy Festival Awards.
Micky Overman
Micky Overman is an award-nominated comedian, currently on an international tour of her newest show, Hold On. Her last show, The Precipice, was one of the best reviewed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She has written for and acted in sketches for ITV2, Channel 4, and BBC3, and her social media content has received over 40 millions views online. Originally from the Netherlands, Micky’s outsider perspective, quick wit, silly delivery and spot-on observations make her one of Britain’s most exciting female voices.
Thor Stenhaug
MC for this event is Thor Stenhaug. Thor is a Norwegian comedian based in London. Shortlisted for the British Comedian of the Year competition in 2021, he regularly performs at some of the biggest comedy clubs across the UK. In 2019, 2021 and 2022 he played in sold-out shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds was designed and built in 1819 by William Wilkins. With many of its original features still intact, it is a superb example of a Regency playhouse and one of the most beautiful, intimate and historic theatres in the world.
