About this event
Award-winning Black tie Dinners at The Crooked House are immersive, sociable experiences, sharing the 600-year story of this ancient place.
Each time, the Crooked Men welcome 16 guests into their home, for a Champagne Reception, followed by a hearty three-course meal, enjoyed together around the dining table.
Home-cooked and hosted by the Crooked Men, Dinner at The Crooked House is a special occasion, with a ‘black tie’ dress code to match. The perfect excuse to get dressed up, for a magical, memorable night!
Please note that, due to the steep steps up to and inside The Crooked House, unfortunately our events are unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.
About the Venue
‘There was a Crooked man, he walked a Crooked mile…’ and his story started here.
Dating from 1395, The Crooked House in Lavenham is said to be the inspiration for the old English nursery rhyme There was a Crooked Man. Today The Crooked House is home to two ‘Crooked Men’ - husbands Alex and Oli - who share the 600-year story of their ancient home through award-winning, immersive experiences.
Described by Country Life as “one of the world’s most photographed homes” and recently named “the most Instagrammable place in Suffolk”, it’s easy to see why. The fairytale façade of The Crooked House makes it a ‘must-see’ historic house for visitors from around the world.
If you’d like to step inside, the Crooked Men host popular theatrical house tours to share the 600-year story of their magical home with everyone. Tours run on selected dates throughout the year, so check crookedhouselavenham.com to book your tickets.
The Crooked Men also host Black Tie Dinners - award-winning immersive dining experiences, inviting guests to dine in their candlelit medieval home. Visit crookedhouselavenham.com for upcoming Black tie Dinner dates and ticket details.
