About this event
This August, Wyken Vineyards will host Wellness at Wyken, a month-long summer pop-up celebrating health, wellbeing and nature.
Set within a lakeside marquee on Wyken's private nature reserve, the programme will feature an inspiring range of wellness classes, workshops and talks, running from Wednesday to Sunday throughout August.
With sessions available in the morning, at lunchtime and in the afternoon, plus Friday and Saturday evening events, it's the perfect excuse to enjoy a relaxing break in and around Bury St Edmunds, combining time in nature with opportunities to recharge, unwind and discover new wellbeing practices.
The programme has been curated by Carole Baker, Yoga & Wellness Advisor and founder of the Self Centre in Bury St Edmunds, in collaboration with Sam Carlisle, owner of Wyken Vineyards. All classes and workshops will be led by experienced local teachers and practitioners.
Visitors can enjoy a diverse programme including yoga for all ages and abilities, physiotherapist-led Pilates, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Kung Fu, sound baths, breathwork, drumming circles and mindfulness meditation in nature.
Workshops will cover art and crafts, herbal medicine, natural skincare, reflexology, Reiki, Indian head massage, crystal healing, Ayurvedic medicine, facial massage and mother & baby massage techniques. Weekend visitors can also experience The Roaming Sauna, with the option of a refreshing lake swim.
The Leaping Hare Restaurant and Country Store will be open throughout the event for coffees, lunches and afternoon teas, with dinner service available on Friday and Saturday evenings.
A donation from every class booking will be made to support local nature and wellbeing charities.
Bookings can be made via the Wyken Vineyards website and the MINDBODY app. Follow #WellnessAtWyken and Wyken Vineyards on social media for the latest programme updates and announcements. Full programme is available to download.

About the Venue
Wyken Vineyards is a lively and creative community situated in beautiful Suffolk countryside. With a vineyard restaurant and country store that is situated in the middle of a 1,200 acre farm, in a converted Medieval barn.
With a focus on sustainability, much of the meat such as venison, hogget, pork and game are reared on the estate, and salads and vegetables are grown in the kitchen garden. Most of their electricity comes from our own solar panels, and all the heating is supplied by chip and firewood from rotational coppice from their ancient woodlands.
They were the first vineyard restaurant in the UK and produce award-winning wines served in their restaurant.
Their vision is to tell the story between Suffolk farm, English vineyard, garden and plate.
Wyken Vineyards has won multiple awards including Best Restaurant in Suffolk in 2016 and 2020.
They have held a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 22 years and for the past two years won a Michelin Green Initiative Award.
Their much loved, Suffolk destination offers something for everyone including: a restaurant, lifestyle shop selling our wines, Amelie flammekueche at the pizza barn, magnificent Royal Horticultural Society garden and weekly Farmer’s Market.
