About this event
This event is ideal for you if you want a more sustainable and nature themed alternative to Halloween.
Following the trail, you will get the opportunity to see the Lakes in a whole new way and of course fancy dress is encouraged!
Activities include: tin can bug hotel making (bring a tin can), owl pellet dissecting, bat detecting, torch lit bug hunting and much more. We estimate the trail of activities will take you 1-1.5 hours.
The event is recommended for 5+ due to the 'spooky' nature and is VERY dark between activities so please bring a torch! This is an outdoor event so wrap up warm and dress for the weather.
The café and toilets will be open on the night. If you would like a takeaway drink to take round the trail, please bring a reusable cup.
Times: Staggered arrival times between 4.30pm and 6.30pm (with the event finishing by 8pm)
Costs: £8 child (5+), £3 adult/ child under 5

About the Venue
Lackford Lakes is a wildlife oasis with a landscape of lakes, reeds, meadow and woodland, just 10 minutes outside Bury St Edmunds.
There is wildlife in close-up all year round, with iridescent kingfisher, dazzling dragonflies and colourful ducks. There is always something going on at Lackford Lakes for you and your family to get involved in; from bug hunting to pond dipping!

Access:
Fully accessible visitor centre with allocated parking and toilet for disabled people. Parts of this reserve are accessible by mobility scooter.

Reserve and car park open daily 9am - 5pm.
Toilets open 10am to 5pm
Catering open 10am to 4pm
The shop is open from 10am to 5pm
