Cinema Launches New Film and Food Events for Spring
A new season of Discover + Dine at Abbeygate Cinema this Spring
Independent cinema Abbeygate on Hatter Street in Bury St Edmunds has launched a new season of Discover + Dine this spring. For £15, cinema goers can enjoy access to the weekly ‘Discover’ film plus a two-course themed meal before the film at in-house restaurant, No. 4 Restaurant + Bar.
Whether it’s a vintage classic, an art-house gem or a riveting documentary, the ‘Discover’ series at Abbeygate shows alternative films every Tuesday. The menu for each Discover + Dine event is designed by Head Chef Matt specifically for that week’s film.
Guests can also take advantage of free parking from 3pm a Tuesday, making the whole experience even more affordable.
The upcoming Discover + Dine dates for March and April are:
Tuesday 4 March 2025
Main: Cuban Sandwich + Fries
Dessert: Key Lime Pie
Tuesday 25 March 2025
Main: Chelow Kabab + Rice
Dessert: Sweet Cardamom Pudding
Tuesday 8 April 2025
Main: Toulouse Sausage + Puy Lentils
Dessert: Lemon Posset
Tuesday 22 April 2025

Dessert: Lemon Tart
“We are happy to have added even more dates for Discover + Dine following the popularity of these events at the start of the year,” says Gareth Boggis, General Manager of Abbeygate Cinema, “Having a restaurant in the cinema is a great benefit and we are in a unique position to offer a curated food and film experience for our guests.”
Tickets are on sale from abbeygatecinema.co.uk (choose Film + Food as your ticket type when booking) or alternatively from the Abbeygate Cinema box office.
