A special children’s pack is available to download which includes facts about St Edmund and St Edmund’s Day and a St Edmund flag to colour in.
It is hoped that children will colour the flag in and display in windows of homes across Bury St Edmunds for the weekend.
A drawing of the Abbey Gate is also included in the pack. During the dissolution of the monasteries in 1539, the sculptures that once adorned the Abbey Gate were removed and presumed destroyed. We'd like to encourage children to draw their own sculptures on a drawing of the Abbey Gate included in the pack.
