New Sightseeing PedalCab Rides Launched to Delight Visitors to Bury St Edmunds this Summer
The 25 minute ride takes in the Abbey Gardens, St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and many more

PedalCabs will be offering visitors and residents a chance to see Bury by bike over the summer holidays
Join Ecocarriers Bury St Edmunds for a Bury's Best, By Bike PedalCab rides around iconic historic sights in the town centre this summer holiday.
The 25-minute tour which takes in the Abbey Gardens, St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and many more sights is open to everyone and has been launched by EcocarriersBSE, supported by Our Bury St Edmunds BID under the town's tourism brand Bury St Edmunds and Beyond.
It is ideal for those facing mobility challenges or disabilities that hinder their independent travel and if the trial tours are successful, they could become a permanent new attraction.
Director of Eco Carriers Libby Ranzetta said: "Our PedalCab rides are a great way for visitors to see what the town has to offer before exploring by foot, and we are delighted to be working with Bury St Edmunds & Beyond and the Tour Guides to offer this fun and informative experience throughout the summer.”
Bury St Edmunds Tour Guides, who deliver the very popular daily walking tours and the Ghostly and Macabre Walks, have recorded optional commentary for the rides so visitors can learn about the places they see on the route.
John Saunders, Marketing Officer for the Tour Guides added, “Having previously worked with the rickshaws, we are pleased to be associated with the Pedalcab by providing a recorded commentary. It does not replace our guided tours but fits well with our desire to make the sights of the town more accessible to those who may not be able to undertake a walking tour or those who want a brief overview before booking a full guided tour.”
The Bury's Best by Bike PedalCab rides will run Monday to Saturday on the half hour from 10am to 12.30pm (last trip) from Monday 22nd July to Saturday 31st August. Other times may be available on request by telephoning EcoCarriersBSE.
Sue Warren, Marketing Manager of Our Bury St Edmunds BID, said: "Our Bury St Edmunds BID was delighted to sponsor the PedalCabs this year to enable people living in Bury St Edmunds who face mobility issues to come to the town to shop. We are pleased to support them in the Bury's Best By Bike offer which I'm sure will delight both visitors to our town and residents. We particularly like that visitors over the summer who face mobility challenges or disabilities that hinder their independent travel will be able to see our beautiful town."
