About this Business
ICE is Bury St Edmunds’ hidden culinary secret, once visited never forgotten. Tucked away in an unlikely location just off J45 of the A14, ICE is located in the middle of the Rougham Industrial Estate in a converted warehouse with lots of free onsite parking, it really is well worth a visit.
Open 10am-4pm and 5pm – 11pm Thursday to Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sunday, ICE has a quirky interior, fitted out with a retro, industrial feel. This restaurant offers incredible food and amazing drinks all prepared and served with love by the extra friendly ICE team. The menu literally offers something for everyone from mac n cheese and monster burgers to a delicious superfood salad and the famous ICE full English breakfast. Portion sizes are generous without being overfacing and there are plenty of gluten free and plant based options available too. As well as main meals and brunches, ICE also offer milkshakes made from their handmade gelato, coffees and a large bakery and dessert selection, all freshly made onsite daily. There is also a fully stocked bar and comprehensive and well thought out cocktail and mocktail menu meaning that ICE is rapidly becoming the place to be seen and is proving popular with visitors of all ages. As if that wasn’t enough, between 5pm and 7pm, it’s happy hour with all cocktails and mocktails at just £6.
The interior of the restaurant was created using recycled items where possible and features a cleverly designed bar made from Victorian railway sleepers and a Dekton worktop made from 80% recyclable material. Tables are made from reclaimed Georgian doors and industrial cable drums meaning there is a real industrial feel to the place, with the addition of many fun and eye-catching features. The centrepiece of the restaurant is a huge wall mural featuring Slash, Aretha Franklin and Freddie Mercury which showcases the teams passion for music, which is also evident through the popular, eclectic playlists and live music stage.
ICE also has a large, covered outdoor seating area complete with heating. On Friday and Saturday nights throughout the summer months ICE offer delicious woodfired sourdough pizzas cooked onsite in their 1960’s original converted airstream, Bessie, for both eat in or takeaway, alongside other popular menu items.
