"As the Mayor of Bury St Edmunds, I am extremely proud that our town has been chosen to host Suffolk Day on the 21 June. Our celebration will focus on ‘alive with music, food and history’."
Bury St Edmunds Town Mayor Cllr Donna Higgins
“As the founder of Suffolk Day, I’m thrilled to be part of this year’s celebrations in Bury St Edmunds. What started as a throwaway comment on the radio back in 2016 has seen Suffolk Day firmly rooted into the calendar of events in the county. Bury is a wonderful town and I’m sure it will make the day very special for all who are planning to attend.”
Mark Murphy MBE, CEO of Cancer Support Suffolk, and Founder of Suffolk Day
“Whilst Suffolk Day sowed the seed of an idea, in true Bury St Edmunds’ style, a great many people have joined in to create a bloom of activities."
Oliver Paul DL, High Sheriff of Suffolk and chair of Suffolk Day steering committee
